COURSE FORMAT DESCRIPTIONS

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Please Note* You must attend ALL components for the class you are enrolled. If you leave early you will not pass the class or receive certifications. (description taken from RedCross.org)​

American Red Cross and American Heart Association BLS training classes can help you safely and effectively respond to medical emergencies in your community. Available for individuals and teams, our BLS courses are modular and flexible – and can help you meet your organization's standards for care.

Instructor Training is comprised of 1 in-class day, typically running from 9am to 3pm. Cost ranges from $199-299.  Once the course is successfully completed, a certification is issued and you may begin teaching!  

Pre-Requisites:

• Instructor candidates must be able to provide proof of a current CPR/First Aid/AED or BLS (depending on certification at Day 1 of Instructor Training. 
• Instructor candidates should be prepared for 1 hour of pre-class, on-line work.
